Community, Connection, Counseling
At TouchStone, our experienced counselors treat many issues including depression, anxiety, anger management, sexual abuse, grief, self-injury, domestic violence, family conflict, oppositional defiance, poor self-esteem, suicidal ideation, and trauma.
Through counseling sessions, our licensed professionals provide a non-judgmental environment for individuals to talk openly about their feelings, behaviors, and experiences. Our goal is to help individuals increase personal insight, promote healthy behaviors, and develop specific coping strategies to improve their quality of life.
If your child is in pain or is struggling with issues that seem too big to handle, our TouchStone counselors can help. We provide counseling for drug and alcohol abuse, low self-esteem, bullying, eating disorders, uncontrolled anger, self-injury or suicidal ideation, academic underachievement, and family issues.
Ultimately, our goal is to empower children and teens to develop positive coping skills and to thrive in their environment. Our skilled professionals aid children and teens to identify their stressors, process feelings, and modify negative behaviors to positive behaviors.
Sometimes couples fall into painful patterns that harm their relationship. Often couples resist counseling while their relationship continues to worsen. At TouchStone, we encourage couples to move forward towards healing.
Our licensed counselors help couples discuss their relationship problems. These could be issues such as: repetitive arguments; feelings of emptiness, isolation, anger or resentment; lack of affection or intimacy; infidelity; or pornography addiction.
Through counseling, couples will learn new ways to communicate that rebuild trust and support. In addition, counselors help couples set goals, establish a timeline to meet those goals, and provide practice to improve the relationship.
If reconciliation is not possible, TouchStone counselors will help couples separate in a healthy manner that does not destroy the family.
Families often feel stress and distress with the challenges of changing family dynamics: the blending of households, co-parenting after divorce, adoption or fostering, loss of a family member, or caring for aging parents. Let TouchStone’s counselors help find solutions, facilitate discussion, and replace frustration with effective strategies.
